Public website checks

When you run an audit, the submitted page URL goes to our audit server. It fetches the page, robots.txt and one sitemap candidate, and uses Cloudflare public DNS to check the hostname. Do not submit private or sensitive links. Reports, checklist progress and personal notes stay in your browser tab unless you save or print them. Reloading or closing the tab clears checklist progress and notes. Saving a report includes its notes in the downloaded file; keep that file private. We do not operate an audit database, advertising tracker or analytics service. Hosting, DNS, Google and target website providers may retain their normal request logs.

Optional Google Search Console

Google connection is optional. We request only the webmasters.readonly permission to read properties you can access, web search clicks, impressions, click rate, historical average position, top search queries and recorded URL indexing information. We use this data solely to display the report you request.

Google authorization uses Google Identity Services. The short-lived access token and Google results stay in this tab’s memory. They are sent directly between your browser and Google, not through the PINSEO audit server. We do not keep refresh tokens, Google passwords or Google reports in a database, local storage or cookies. Reloading or closing the tab clears the in-memory connection. Google may remember your consent until you revoke it.

Use Disconnect Google to clear the report and request revocation, or remove PINSEO Audit from your Google connections. Tokens expire; connecting again requires a new user action. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google data, use it for ads, or use it to train generalized AI models.

Optional PageSpeed

Clicking Test speed opens Google PageSpeed Insights in a new tab with the audited page URL. PINSEO does not run a PageSpeed API call or display speed scores. Google’s report follows Google’s privacy practices.
